We’re going to paint Harajuku red! Or some color! Help us decide!!

As part of a weekend of Dr. Sketchy’s Tokyo 10 Year Anniversary celebrations we invite you to help us paint WALL C at Design Festa!! The mural will be there for TWO MONTHS!!!

At the opening of the exhibition on the 22nd (6pm, Design Festa Gallery East 201) we will brainstorm ideas for the mural.

We will organise teams of 2-3 people to paint throughout the day. You can do multiple shifts depening on numbers!

Let’s make an awesome 200 x 80 cm Big Sketchy’s Mural!!

Dr. Sketchy’s Tokyo is about to celebrate it’s 10 year birthday! Thanks to you we’ve enjoyed a regular get together nearly every month over that period. Your participation has helped support alternative performers in Japan and we’ve created quite a fun and creative space to hang out over the years. RITA GOLDIE【リタ・ゴールディー】

 Rita Goldie is a burlesque dancer based in Tokyo known for her sexy, retro shows ála cabaret performers in the early 1900s as well as Japanese-flavoured shows with her as a kimono-clad oiran or courtesan. Her collaborations cover a wide range of genres, including live DJ performances, jazz or rock concerts, african dance, animation dance (hip hop), wushu (martial arts). Rita Goldie has worked in and organised in burlesque shows and other events; worked as a self-styled photo model; and appeared in many music videos, including those by Superfly, Aqua TImez, Kavka Shishido, and other artists.

東京を中心に活動するバーレスクダンサー。
代表的なショースタイルは、20世紀初頭のキャバレーをイメージしたレトロ&セクシーなショー、着物での和風ショー「花魁」など。
JAZZバンド、ROCKバンドの生演奏、生DJでのショーや
アフリカンダンス、アニメーションダンス、武術など他ジャンルとのコラボレーションも行っている。
バーレスクショー活動から発展した自身のスタイリングによるフォトモデルとしても活動、またSuperfly、Aqua Timez、宍戸カフカ等音楽アーティストMVにも出演。

2013年9月、渋谷TRUMP ROOMにて初主催イベント「BURLESQUE KINGDOM(バーレスクキングダム)」
2014年8月、青山Veloursにて「BURLESQUE KINGDOM Vol.2」を主催。
2015年12月にはルチャリブレ(覆面プロレス)とバーレスクダンサー・ポールダンサー等のコラボイベント「Luchalesque!Xmas Party(ルチャレスク・クリスマスパーティー)」を主催。
その他バーレスクショーをメインとしたイベントオーガナイザーとしても活動。

Kader is a solo oriental dancer born in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated art school specializing in the field of Traditional Japanese Craft Art, before working as an editor for a renowned publisher in Japan. This was all just a prelude to her true calling as a dancer.
Her dance life progressed deeply through experiences in Turkey. Her sleek motion evokes a mysterious earthly feeling. She incorporates dancing with bodily physical science, art, culture, history, literature, poems in her performances. In a drum solo improvisation performance she synchronises with the drum rhythm—a repertoire full of dynamism, rhythm and sensuality.
With such an eclectic career and past experiences in different fields of literature, art and philosophy, and more, these influences helped her to encompass all. In her career as a unique dancer and art performer, these qualities give her great dynamism and motivation, releasing her both physically and mentally, finally, creating a peaceful figure, Kader.
She performs at various events as a freelance dancer, and is also a Tokyo-based dance instructor.

オリエンタルソロダンサー
日本東京都港区生まれ。美術大学卒業後、大手出版社にて編集者として働いた後、退職を契機に本格的にダンスの道に進む。幼少期から、体操、絵画はじめ音楽などの芸術に多く触れ合いながら育つ。トルコなどにてオリエンタルダンスを学ぶ。ドラムのリズムに合わせてあるのドラムソロ即興のレパートリーは、リズミカルな官能的に溢れ独特な滑らかな動きで不思議な世界感を呼び起こします。現在はソロダンサーとして、都内トルコレストラン、ホテルでのウエディングパーティ、各種イベント出演などのパフォーマンス活動、主催しているイベントにて、企画進行などトータルに取り纏め、身体の物理科学、芸術、文化、歴史、文学、詩など自身のアートや文学の自身の経歴とともに女性性を導くレベルを無くしたユニークなインストラクションを都内中心に精力的に行っている。

BARON is a Japanese vaudevillian, musician, songwriter, composer, playwright and actor. He was born in 1978 in the town of Hida Takayama where he was brought up in the family who love art, peace and party.

While studying in Australia from 1994 to 2000, he experienced a lot of street arts in the town of Melbourne. He was especially inspired by the vaudevillians he saw in live bars and theatres.

His career started after he returned to Japan. Meeting various artists in Tokyo helped him establish his current vaudeville style.

His original vaudeville show is composed of singing original songs and old jazz tunes, strumming the ukulele in an authentic swingin’ style and acting mime and comedy.

BARON performs throughout Japan as well as overseas. His comedy is born from music, and his music is born from comedy. He’s been making a show that entertain people young and old.

He won the first prize in the VOIX-de-VILLE in Montreal (summer 2014).

ウクレレにダービーハット、タップシューズを履き、東京を中心に全国各地、ときに海外でも活動中。
音楽から生まれるコメディー、コメディーから生まれる音楽。
老若男女が楽しめるショーを作り続けている。

Nikita Bitch Project (NBP) began performing and modeling in Tokyo, moving to America in 2011 to pursue her passion for burlesque.
